Overall the experience was good. Jose my service technician was responsive and kept me up to date on the status of my vehicle. Overall cost of replacing the flex plate and associated parts was just under $2700 after $100 military discount. After replacing the flex plate of my 2017 ford explorer the starter started making a metal on metal grind at the end of the startup sequence. After replicating the sound for the mechanic multiple times it was agreed upon to fix the issue that started after the flex plate replacement and I was told they replaced the starter. The vehicle still makes the grind noise but less frequently than when it did before the starter replacement. Hopefully it’s just new parts breaking themselves in.
